W.M. Grace Companies was founded in 1966 by W.M. “Bill” Grace. As a General Contractor, Bill believed there was a more efficient way to meet a client’s needs in construction and development. His idea of bringing all trades under one roof was so sensible yet seen as radical at the time.
Retail Development
W.M. Grace continues to develop grocery anchored shopping centers since the company’s inception in 1966. With having built/developed over 300 build-to-suit and/or shopping centers, totaling more than 65 million square feet. Currently, W.M. Grace owns over 20 shopping centers and 1.5M square feet of retail. W.M. Grace handles the procurement of the land, entitlements, and leasing throughout the entire project. We continue to be active throughout the southwest with a focus in Arizona, Colorado, and California. W.M. Grace is a valued partner to many of the most highly respected grocery chains, retailers, and quick-service restaurants groups in the country.
Industrial Development
W.M. Grace currently has over 1.2M square feet of Industrial product in development with an emphasis on spec manufacturing, and distribution facilities. Active in both spec and build-to-suit development, we continue to diversify to adapt to market conditions.
Hospitality Development
Grace Hospitality Group is a premier resort management and consulting company located in Scottsdale, Arizona. We specialize in the management of both branded and independent hotels, resorts, and Inn’s. Grace Hospitality Group is under the W.M. Grace Companies umbrella, and comprised of some of the most tenured team members in the industry. Currently have over a dozen hotels in management, and very active in the development, site selection, and feasibility studies for third party operators.
Development
Our staff not only manages the design phase of each project, we also carry our general contractor license and oversee the construction of each project. This helps ensure that the actual construction meets the intent of the design using only the best materials. It also helps to reduce costly change orders from the contractor. We have a fully licensed architect, contractor, property management team, and leasing staff that work directly with any third party-subs so each project stays on budget, and most importantly on time.
